The engine is accessed both from lifting the companionway stairs at the front and thru the starboard side via the large lazarette space we were able to capture once we eliminated the starboard aft berths from the original plans.
The picture below show the main bilge and access to fuel and water valving, the steering radial drive and the Ronstan magic wheel for backstay adjustment. (We used mechanical adjustments for the vang and backstay to avoid the mess and maintenance of hydraulics.)
