This is the V-berth which opens to allow access to a large sail stowage area. We keep 3 spinnakers, the code 0, the Solent jib and the Storm jib all comfortable here. Also we have found that no one ever puts the filler cushion into their v-berth so we used that space for 3 drawers. The box structure next to the curtain is the chain locker. The chain was brought aft to keep the weight out of the bow. We carry 100 meters.
The picture below is of the large sea berth just aft of the fore cabin. Originally this was to be upper and lower berths but having done that on our last Farr 44 we found that we never had enough crew aboard to warrant the extra berths so we opted for a large single with great storage beneath. Also you can see a nice sized locker just over the foot on this berth.
Just across from the large sea berth is the head. We have spent a little weight here thru the use of a Baby Blake toilet. Although heavy we have many years of experience with these heads on Alaska Eagle and they just don't quit.
